Like, What good is Photoshop Elements for? Can you make your pictures look better and more creative with it?

Such as changing a color, or making one section colored and the background b%26w, etc.

Elements is a basic version of the higher end Photoshop CS3. Elements along with Lightroom are good for smaller touch ups in photos. Don't get me wrong, as a pro, all I use is Lightroom and it is all that I think I will ever really need. CS3 is good if you do a ton of editing. Elements is better if you just want to enhance your photos.

Elements is a smaller version of Photoshop so has less features. $100 vs. $1000 cost wise.

Most routine changes in image contrast, brightness, level control and the like can be done using Elements. Most non-professionals can do all they need to do with Elements.
