What is the difference between these Adobe programs? What are they used for and where can I find some good tutorials on them. Also, where can I download a newer version than Photoshop 7.0?
Any help would be appreciated.

Photoshop? Image Ready? Illustrator? WHATS THE DIFFERENCE!?!?!?liveupdate
Image Ready doesn't have as many features as Photoshop. It is geared more toward web graphics. You can create animated GIFs with it and generate HTML code.
Photoshop is a much more intensive image editor. It can work in color modes such as RGB, lab, CMYK, grayscale, bitmap, and duotone. It can read and write vector and rastor images. It supports a wide variety of file formats.
